Fiberglass products are manufactured using a combination of specific chemicals and reinforcement materials such as glass fiber to form a solid composite material. The fiber reinforcement typically consists of chopped strand, continuous strand, cloth, woven roving, or long fiber.
The most common products are fiberglass boats, and automotive parts, but other products include furniture, bathtubs, corrosion resistant liners, cultured marble bath fixtures, decorative and architectural building products, storage tanks, truck body components, sporting goods, machinery housings and much more.
Fiberglass composites products have excellent structural, abrasive and corrosion resistant properties and are used globally to manufacture many of the products used in our everyday lives.
GlasCraft equipment is used to meter, mix and dispense the fiberglass materials into an open or closed mold production process. Open-mold operations typically spray the materials into the mold. Closed-mold production is accomplished by injecting the chemicals into the closed mold.
